Import Products

Import System is the fastest way to add/edit your products as a bulk. If you have already added products on another ecommerce platform or you want to make changes on your products, Import System will be your biggest assistant.

Instead of adding each product one by one, Shopio takes data from your CSV file and adds your all products just in minutes.

You can download our Sample CSV file via below link and edit it according to your product information. Don't forget to delete sample product data.

Important: If you wish to import a CSV file which is exported from another platform, be sure that the file format is same with Shopio's samle CSV file in order to be uploaded to your Shopio Store successfully.

The first line of your CSV file must have the field headers described below. You can change the order of the Fields (Ex. Sample CSV comes in an order like Handle, Title, SKU, etc. You can change this order like Title, SKU, Handle, etc.) but you can't change the Field Names, you can't add or delete Fields.

Editing csv file

As mentioned above, your CSV file must be formatted same as Shopio's sample CSV file. You can find Shopio's CSV file's field explanations below:

While editing your Import CSV file please pay attention to the cases listed here to run a successful importing process.

  • Handle

Handles are unique names for each product. They can contain letters, dashes and numbers, but no spaces.

Every line with different handle will be treated as a new product. If you wish to add products with variants you should use the same handle name with the main product.

Example for product with variants:

In the below image, as you see in the Handle field, between Line 2 and 10 has the same Handle Name which is mandatory to be able to add Product Variants with Import. Line 2 will be treated as main product (Option fields are empty) and the other lines with the same Handle name (3-10) will be treated as variants.

Process gives an error if you enter same variations into more than one field. Example if you enter "Red" for "Option Value 1" and "Small" for "Option Value 2" into both Line 3 and Line 4 system gives an error.
